Pretty buggy and crashes a lot
Tells me about earthquakes that have happened hours ago thousands of miles from me yet a 3.3 20 miles from me and twenty minutes later still nothing. Uninstalled...
Don't know how well this app works for Quake alerts so 3 stars on assumption it does. Reason for less stars: don't like it constantly running in bg for battry drain even tho I've battry save mode on. My other Quake alert dsn't need this; it wakes as needed. Leaving location on all times quickly drains batt. so it's off. Hopefully app will base default alerts on home locale. Also can't see home loc. square on map in settngs. Map is a thin strip cut off @page bottom that cn't be moved to see area.
Slow app. Tried to put my location and it kept putting me on a completely different place. Needs improvement.
I was looking for an app that would give alerts to earthquakes nearby, and something associated with U.C. seemed like a good bet. It is incredibly poor. I CANNOT turn off global notifications, it just turns back on immediatly, so the phone makes noise for quakes halfway around the world. And it will not acknowledge that my location services are turned on. In essence I only get notifications I don't want, not the ones I will need.
Great app
Warns you about earthquakes thousand of miles away, kind of pointless.
It keeps notifying me about earthquakes all over even though I set a specific home base. By now I got used to just ignoring the frequent notifications and therefore the app. Al's like others mentioned, the audible alert so a media playback, not a high priority ring/notification tone which would still play even if volume is off. Simply not reliable.
After performance problems a reinstallation and phone reboot did the trick.
If you live or work in an active earthquake zone, then you've got to get this MyShake app.
